MALIBASHKA SUCCUMBS AT 68

ALLENTOWN, NJ -- November 30, 2015 -- Thomas Malibashka, 68, of Cream Ridge, NJ, died November 23, 2015, from cancer.

Born in Manhattan, he moved to Freehold, NJ, when he was young and that is where his interest in horses began. He became a resident of Cream Ridge in 1979, when he and his wife, Mique, started Camelot Farm. It was on the farm that they raised their children, Stacie and Brett.

Malibashka enjoyed a long career as a standardbred owner and trainer. He retired in 2001 but still actively managed the farm.

A memorial service was held at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ.

Malibashka spent his spare time with his family and enjoyed time at the beach in particular.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mique; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Gus Wedin; daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Howard Mintz; and grandchildren, Rachel Mintz, Jessica Mintz, Brian Mintz and Anderson Malibashka. He was preceded in death by his son, Brett.

Malibashka was an avid reader, so memorial contributions may be made to the Allentown Public Library, P.O. Box 383, Allentown, NJ 08501.
