BEE A MAGICIAN CAPTURES CUTLER

MANALAPAN, NJ – May 16, 2015 – Bee A Magician, the 2013 Horse of the Year, notched her 34th career victory and extended her current winning streak to three in the $183,650 AJ Cutler Memorial, the seventh race on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Meadowlands.

The five-year-old trotter covered the mile in 1:51.2, finishing two lengths ahead of Wind Of The North. Melady’s Monet was third by five lengths.

Brian Sears guided Bee A Magician, who is trained by Nifty Norman and is owned by Melvin Hartman, Herb Liverman and David McDuffee. She has finished in-the-money in 44 of 50 starts and banked $2,873,145.

“She’s just such a pleasure,” said Sears. “Last year was tough for her, there was a lot of traveling, and it was a long season. But right now, she is just really fresh and really sharp. It is hard to keep them this sharp all year long, but hopefully she keeps going forward.”

In the $50,000 TVG Pace, the 11th race, JK Endofanera won a three-way photo finish by a nose over Modern Legend. It was a nose back to Doo Wop Hanover in third.

Making his 2015 debut, JK Endofanera, driven by Yannick Gingras and trained by Ron Burke, paced the mile in 1:48.4 on a track rated sloppy. Now four, the bay has earned more than $1.5 million for owner-breeder 3 Brothers Stables.
