STRIDE FOR THE CURE 2015 SET FOR SATURDAY

MANALAPAN, NJ – May 12, 2015 – The winning color is pink for the Sixth Annual Lisa Photo Stride for the Cure on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Stride for the Cure targets the goal of “making strides against breast cancer.” Award-winning Meadowlands Racetrack photographer Michael Lisa and his wife, Annette, a breast cancer survivor, created the event to benefit breast cancer awareness.

The track’s harness drivers will use pink whips and the horses will wear pink harnesses in support of the event. The pink whips will be auctioned.

This year’s Lisa Photo Stride for the Cure race is carded as the sixth race on Saturday night. First race post time is 7:15 p.m.

The fundraising features a raffle of items that includes: two floor seats to the Marc Anthony concert at Barclay's Center on October 8; gift certificates for Victory Sports Bar and the track’s restaurant Pink, both at the Meadowlands; a framed 16x20 George Smallsreed award-winning photo; a Hoboken Dog Wash gift certificate, and various gift baskets.

The Pink Heals fire truck will be on display from 6 to 8 p.m. Founded in 2007, the Pink Heals Tour combines the theme of public safety with pink fire trucks and pink police cars to spotlight the battle against cancer with a focus on women [pinkfiretrucks.org].

TPM, The Past Masters [tpmrocks.com], will perform from 6 to 7 p.m. and in between races throughout the night. The New Jersey-based band plays classic rock.
